Keep coming back to see what new things are happening here at WHHS!
Café Day!
We had an amazing Cafe Day this year thanks to all the staff here at Westchester. We also had a few amazing, funny videos that were produced by our very own students, Matt Newman and Ari Marder.
The WHHS Annual Dinner
We had a great Dinner this year! Congrats to the honorees. Here are some pictures from the beautiful evening.
Spirit Week!
We just had amazing week! It was SPIRIT WEEK! Everyday was a new dress up day, we also had many different, fun activities. The Freshman were the Green Team, the Sophmore's were the Pink Team, the Juniors were the Blue Team and the Seniors were the Yellow Team. Some of the activities included a school wide dogdeball tournament and under-over.
WHHS Breakfast Bash!!
WHHS students came out on Sunday morning to help cook pancakes, waffles and much more for our Annual Breakfast Bash! The breakfast was so delicious because it was cooked by our very own WHHS students! There was also an omelet competition which was so fun! There were 3 teams! 5 Freshman Girls, 2 Junior Girls and 3 Junior Boys! It was close but the Freshman Girls were the omelet competition champions! Everyone helped to pack packages for US soldiers in Iraq, an activity organized by Mrs. Raftery. What a chessed project! Our very own Mrs. Mahler challenged students and anyone who wished to a Bananagrams Contest!! It was so much fun! Hope you enjoy these pictures!
WHHS Veterans Day Commemoration
The juniors and seniors of WHHS went to pay their respects at a ceremony on Veterans Day, at the White Plains Rural Cemetery. They heard Veterans speak. After that, the Jewish War Veterans came back to our school to have a nice lunch with us! Then the whole school heard the Veterans speak and tell us their story! It was such an honor to have them come back to our school and spend time with us. And we thank them for that!
Open House!
Open House was so much fun! So many WHHS students came out to volunteer, even though it was the same night as the final World Series game! The evening was a big hit! The Dinner at the beginning was prepared and served by our students. There was a game show for prospective students and WHHS students to participate in. Everyone had a blast! Also, everyone watched a movie that was about our school! It was produced by our very own WHHS students: Matt Newman, Ari Marder, Boaz Yaari and more! It was a great night.
