Joanne Monteleone received her Master's degree in School Counseling in May 2010. She is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland County Guidance Counselor Association (WPRCA). Most recently she has served as the Guidance Counselor at the Green Meadow Waldorf School.
In addition, Ms. Monteleone has worked as a theater director, drama teacher, and recreation therapist. She began her career in San Francisco, working as a recreation therapist in both educational and clinical settings with various populations, including youth at risk, brain-injured patients, and AIDS patients. Her work in the theater includes both professional and academic directing credits, and she also worked as an adjunct professor of drama. She has also worked as an assistant editor on Youth Theatre Journal and has co-authored drama education curricula.
Ms. Monteleone received a BA in Therapeutic Recreation and Theatre from San Francisco State University, an MA in Educational Theatre from Emerson College and an MS in School Counseling from Long Island University.
