On behalf of all of us here at Westchester Hebrew High School, I thank you for your interest in our school.
We are living in unprecedented times, and like everything else, the high school admissions process has had to change. We cannot conduct a live Open House or have in person visits due to our paramount concern for the safety and well-being of our school community, as well as our potential new families. Instead, we look forward to meeting with you virtually during our November 5th Open House, as well as during the numerous phone and online communications that I always welcome.
We are a small school situated on a beautiful, large suburban campus, and a place where every administrator, teacher, and student know one another throughout the grades. The constant here is respect for individuality. We have seen the difference that our caring faculty, strong curriculum, Learning Center, honors and AP classes, and the ability to change levels even during the course of the school year, can do to instill confidence in our students, and to motivate them to perform to their maximum potential.
We have started the 2020-2021 with full in-school instruction, based upon a stringent set of regulations geared to ensure the safety and continued health of our school community. We plan to continue this format absent a directive that would require otherwise. While we hope that will not occur, our experience from last March through our June graduation ceremony has taught us that if necessary, we are well prepared to do so.
I look forward to speaking and “meeting” you over the course of the next few months. In the interim, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
