Levitan, Ms. Shari
Director of Admissions
Shari graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she was one of a handful of non-
native Spanish speakers who majored in Bilingual Education.
After graduating, she attended St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot
Court Team who made it to the national quarter finals in the year she competed. She pursued a legal
career as a litigator at a major Wall Street firm, and thereafter, at an investment bank. Working ten-hour
days, seven days a week (literally July 4th was her first vacation day after starting at the firm in the first
week of September!), Shari returned to the education field while her two sons were still home and in
school.
A member of the Board of Trustees of WHHS knew Shari and her children. She said that the school was
searching for a Director of Admissions, and she thought her background made her well suited for the
position. Shari met with the administration and accepted the opportunity. Shari loves working with WHHS
students—she previously coached our Mock Trial Team and now has a crew of hand-selected students on
her admissions team.
“I get tremendous joy seeing our students in this capacity. They are our best spokespersons!”
