Social Worker
Lisa Katzen has practiced social work for over 25 years in clinic, home, school and community settings. She received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master of Science with a concentration in Clinical Practice in Health and Mental Health from Columbia University. She also received post graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
Lisa has expertise and advanced training in Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Training (DBT). Her therapeutic style offers adolescents and parents emotional support while offering concrete strategies. Lisa works with adolescents and teens on ways to manage ADHD, Anxiety, OCD and other life stressors using evidence based practices along with Mindfulness practices. Ways to maintain health and wellness are a pivotal part of her practice. Lisa uses a collaborative approach to optimize effective and long lasting results.
